Mr Strong is an incredibly talented guitarist and quite apt at teaching the instrument. Very professional and always accommodating, receiving lessons from him is always a highlight of the week for me.
He is responsive in communication, always on time, and I’ve seen all ages come and go as I’ve arrived or left for my lessons, and I’m closer to 50 than I am 40. He works well with any caliber of student.
If your schedule has an opportunity to agree with his, I would HIGHLY recommend taking him up on his tutelage. His lessons are very affordable (I believe he could charge much higher) and custom designed for the individual goals that you are aspiring to achieve.

My 16-year-old son has been Ryan’s student for almost 2 years now and I cannot say enough good things about Ryan as a guitar teacher. I am thrilled with my son’s progress from a completely shy, introverted novice to a much more confident guitar student eager to take on challenging music and techniques. I am extremely pleased that Ryan teaches standard notation as opposed to guitar tablature. I was taught guitar tabs many years ago but nothing really stuck. I love that my son can pick up a sheet of music and understand how to read and play the notes with correct rhythm and timing. Ryan has a wonderfully encouraging teaching style, offering constructive critique while giving practical direction on how to correct mistakes and improve technique. Ryan always has a positive attitude and his passion for guitar is evident. He is a true professional with a caring demeanor; responding to texts in a timely manner, always running on time for lessons, and being flexible with scheduling. Ryan even made a home visit for a lesson after my son had foot surgery and was not very mobile! I am extremely happy with Ryan’s instruction, teaching style, and competence. I highly recommend him as a guitar teacher.
